De IPU en de Verenigde Naties hebben voor parlementariers een handboek VN-Vrouwenverdrag gepresenteerd op de 108e IPU-bijeenkomst in Chili. ''The Convention is the most comprehensive instrument that exists on women's rights, considering that it encompasses the full range of the vital aspects of the human person'', aldus de voorzitter van de IPU Council, Sergio Páez.
